We are a leisure restaurant in the heart of Otepää, known for delicious food, excellent service, and tasteful interior design. Our dishes are inspired by the Mediterranean philosophy of longevity and health, combined with the Nordic mindset of using local ingredients. We believe that one of the essential parts of food culture is enjoying meals together with family and friends.
Ugandi Resto has been part of Otepää's story for over 23 years. The restaurant's name originates from Ugandi, one of the wealthiest counties of ancient Estonia, with Otepää as its center. We are a three-time winner of the 2024 Silverspoon Gastronomy Awards, recognized as a high-quality restaurant by the Falstaff Restaurant Guide, and proudly hold the Gold Label awarded by the Estonian Association of Large Families.
Nordic flavors meet the philosophy of Mediterranean cuisine. We enjoy crafting dishes using traditional Nordic meats paired with the natural treasures of local forests. Rich Mediterranean spices and herbs are essential elements of our dishes. The results are exciting and unique creations that combine the best of both culinary traditions, offering a balanced and flavorful dining experience.
The second floor of our restaurant is dedicated to the Estonian flag, as Otepää is the birthplace of the blue, black, and white flag. The Flag Room is an excellent venue for private meetings and festive gatherings. This private space offers a stunning 360-degree view of Otepää’s central square, the historic Otepää Hill Fort, and the church.
